Wednesday Pack Activities
Adventure Pack
Sputnik, Ruffers, and Mamacita all sniffed around together in the freshly-uncovered grass now that most of the snow from last week has melted. Sputnik and Ruffers enjoyed chasing each other around a bit. Mamacita wanted to join in, but I won't be trusting her off leash soon after Wednesday's wandering.
Variety Pack
Thompson followed his typical route through the park today - past the three-boulder hill, over to the center pad where he lingered for a while, then to the grassy north end, back to the center pad, down to the tree stumps at the south end, back to the three-boulder hill, and finally back to the gate. Meanwhile, Zoey chewed on a tennis ball and dug holes in the sandy dirt. She and Coco each chased played a little bit of fetch. Coco went over to regulate when she saw one dog pushing another, smaller dog around. She ran over and gave the bigger dog a nudge to interrupt. Satisfied with her intervention, she rejoined the pack on our way to the south end of the park. Something made Mamacita nervous near the end of our visit and she started shaking and trying to draw us back to the gate. I wonder whether someone used a dog whistle that was too high of a pitch for me to hear, because the only other times I've seen her like that were when someone in the vicinity had used a high pitched whistle.
