Adventure Pack

Zoey joined the pack for our hike at Shanahan Ridge this morning, and she had fun bounding along the snowy trail. Her antics got Sputnik and Racer both excited. She and Racer hopped around in front of each other a few times during one of Zoey's playful bursts. Griff was more interested in poking around in the snow, and didn't give chase to his rambunctious packmate. When we were nearing the end of the hike and she went back on leash, Sputnik was feeling randy and kept trying to mount her.

Variety Pack

Avo was not thrilled to go out in the rain this afternoon, so I put her coat on her to help keep her dry. Riley was in the opposite mood, and couldn't wait to get out. I thought Mamacita might be on the same page as Avo, but she came out of the house without hesitation. Isaac greeted me as usual, by climbing into my lap to cuddle and lick my chin as I hooked up his harness. We headed to the Bear Creek Path for a walk. Once out and about, Avo wanted to hop around through the snow bank alongside Riley. There were a couple times when Avo play-bowed in front of Mamacita, and Mamacita responded in kind. When Riley dove into the mix one time and started hopping around with Avo, Isaac jumped in between them, woofed, and puffed out his chest to assert control and order over the situation, like the herding dog he is - to which the young ones responded with sheepish looks and an immediate curtailing of their antics.
