Adventure Pack

Racer, Imogene, Griff, and Arlo braved the windy weather at Shanahan Ridge today. Aside from the chill to the wind, it wasn't really so bad. I think the bit of rain we got earlier in the morning helped dampen the ground, so the occasional gusts didn't blast us with loose, sandy debris. A couple dogs passed by us while we were pulled over to the side of the trail, addressing a number two that a pack member had just deposited. One of the passing dogs came over and sniffed hello, and the pack responded with calm, pleasant interest. The man walking incredulously commented, "That's just not fair - four good dogs!?" as the pack exemplified nice, friendly etiquette in their greetings. What the man didn't know is that the poop I was picking up was full of paper pulp from the tax documents Racer had decided to snack on the night before.

Variety Pack

Rey, Milo, Tozai, Carl, and Dylan strolled Bear Creek Greenway this afternoon. The wind had died down by then, but it left the chill in its wake. Dylan was in more of a pausing-and-sniffing mood than a walking mood today, so we took our time making stops along Martin Park and at some grassy patches beyond. Carl was quick to get to sniffing whenever the forward momentum stalled. The others took a moment before shifting gears to appreciate the olfactory environment.
