Rest in peace, Sputnik

Our beloved packmate Sputnik is no longer with us. He was a consistent and vibrant presence in the pack for the past decade. Last year, he began to struggle with a pituitary tumor. His family got him treatment and he improved for a while, but his condition began to decline again especially over the past couple months leading up to his heartbreaking departure. He will be missed tremendously and will always be remembered for his exuberant playfulness, his love of all people (especially kids), his keen attentiveness when trying to understand what humans were saying to him, and his warm demeanor towards his packmates (once he got acquainted with them). He was a very good friend for all of his years.
