Adventure Pack

The weather was perfect for hiking as Yoshi, Tozai, Nelly, and Bear hit the trails at Chautauqua. A lot of other people also took the opportunity to enjoy a hike in the mild fall weather, including many families with little kids. One little boy asked to say hello to the dogs and gave them each a pat on the head. Bear and Tozai each showed their appreciation with a lick on the nose. Nelly and Yoshi were more passive in receiving their pats. A short while later, a little girl repeated, "Is dah! Is dah!" over and over as we approached. And when we were back at the trail head, another little boy shouted, "Dog! Dog! Dog! B-b-b-b-b-b-bu-bu-bu-but Dog!" over his dad's shoulder as they walked a short distance ahead of us.

Variety Pack

We tried Teo on a walk with a full pack today. He was pretty good about all the passing bicycles, but he started jumping up and chewing at the leash more and more as the walk went on. Alfie's mom was on a run in the area, and Alfie just stared at her with eyes wide as she ran ahead of the pack after waving hello. Alfie was happy when she came over to see him on her return leg. Teo couldn't quite handle the excitement of being approached, and leapt towards his packmates to redirect his energy, causing Griff to give him a stern woof of disapproval. Carl, and Lou were mellow and walked pretty easily in formation along with Griff. Alfie and Lumi wanted to pull over to sniff around a lot at the beginning of our walk. Later on, Lumi fell into pace and formation beside the others while Teo struggled to control his emotions and Alfie continued to want to pull over to the side of the path.
