Adventure Pack

Lucy's greeting of her packmates is gradually getting more mild-mannered, but she still raises some hackles with her unreservedly ebullient demeanor. Bear and Ruffers went ahead on our way up Royal Arch today, but they both came back when I unzipped the treat pouch and called to them. Dylan didn't pant as heavily as on Monday's hike, and Bear didn't lie down at any point. The cloud cover helped keep it feeling a bit cooler.

Variety Pack

Archie panted with excited anticipation the whole car ride to Martin Park. Alfie, Griff and Lumi all made sure to check out the nearest tree at the edge of the parking lot and leave their marks. A human friend of Buddy's recognized him early on during our walk, and Buddy was very happy to stop and say hello while the rest of the pack hung out. As we rounded the bend by the basketball courts, Lumi headed straight for the mile marker boulder to check out the neighborhood scent forum. Archie offered Lou some kisses every now and then as they walked beside each other. At one point, out of the corner of my eye, I saw Alfie give Lumi a playful poke, and then they both kept on walking.
