Friday Pack Activities (10/30/2026)
Lou, Lucy, Yoshi, Tozai Alfie, Nelly, Lumi, Griff, Scarlett, Carl
Adventure Pack
Lucy sprang through the brush, presumably after some rodents, as the pack hiked across the mountain on Bluebell Mesa Trail. Tozai did a better job of inviting play with Yoshi instead of just bulldozing and was rewarded with several long bouts of chasing and wrestling. Lou was really into making sudden stops to sniff today; sometimes she backtracked to a spot we had just passed, other times she wanted to sniff in the middle of the trail, right in front of her. Her packmates always swarmed to investigate her finds, which just looked like dirt to me.
Variety Pack
Alfie, Nelly, Lumi, Griff, Scarlett, and Carl headed to Bear Creek Greenway this afternoon. We started off with the pack all sniffing a big tree at the near edge of Martin Park. Lumi and Alfie wanted to walk in the grassy strip beside the path a lot of the time - especially early on - and this often resulted in the whole pack pulling over to sniff around. Once we got moving along, the dogs maintained a pretty steady formation. A passing bicyclist commented that the pack was very organized, and another commented on how they had lined up in order of size - with Alfie on one end and Scarlett on the other. We saw some other dogs along the way, and the pack all walked by without any fuss about them; although Nelly did whine a bit when some dogs behind fences were barking at us.
