Wednesday Pack Activities (10/28/2026)

Adventure Pack
Bear, Nelly, Tozai, and Lucy headed to Chautauqua for their hike today. I kept everyone on leash on our way up Bluebell-Baird Trail since we saw those deer so close to the trail earlier this week. We didn't see any deer today. Later on, Tozai actually minded his manners much better when he was off leash with Lucy, and he didn't harass her at all. They just sniffed along the trail together ahead of me, Nelly, and Bear. The puddles and patches of mud from the recent rains are all dried up now, so it was nice not to have to clean muddy paws at the end of the hike.
Variety Pack
I brought Carl, Griff, Alfie, and Lumi to Harlow Platts Park today for a change of scenery. The pack used to frequent the area years ago, but it has fallen out of our regular rotation. It turned out that a cross-country racing event was taking place in the park, which we discovered when we were partway around the pond. We headed into the grassy fields as streams of highschoolers passed by on the path, with families crossing from one area to another to watch their kids on different stretches of their run. The pack remained chill amongst the bustle and cheers. Lumi flopped down in the grass a few times to wiggle on his back while his packmates sniffed around. After the racing was done, we passed over the bridge in the middle of the pond and came across a ton of geese. Unfortunately, with the geese came their poop, and Lumi was a bit too interested in that. At least Carl, Griff, and Alfie didn't go for it.
