Adventure Pack
The scents at trail head at The Peoples' Crossing have had all the dogs very interested lately. Today's pack was no exception, as Yoshi, Tozai, Lou, and Nelly all took their time sniffing around and backtracking to make sure they got the news. Lou and Nelly continued to want to linger while Yoshi and Tozai started to pull ahead a bit at the beginning of our ascent; however, they all politely stepped aside to let other hikers pass, even when those hikers were fellow canines. At one point, Yoshi became very wary of a felled tree a bit off the trail. I scanned the area, expecting to see a bear or a bobcat given how on-edge Yoshi seemed, but I didn't see anything and the rest of the pack didn't pick up on anything either. Nelly was able to avoid getting her legs stuck in anything today.
Variety Pack
Teo was a bit more interested in the prairie dogs at Goose Creek Greenway today. Alfie was also eyeing them with a mischievous look and made moves toward the first couple we saw when we set out. Lumi and Carl were disinterested in the runts. We took a different route than usual today, going over the bridge by the park instead of under it, and found that it leads to a dirt path that brings you to another section of the adjacent disc golf course and then meets up with another paved multi-use path that leads back to our typical route. Given the detour, we didn't reach the grassy hill where the dogs like to sniff and where Lumi always lies down; so, Lumi just lay down on the dirt path instead when it was time for a pack photo.
