Thursday Pack Activities (9/3/2026)
Adventure Pack Arlo, Griff, Racer, and Rey all spent a little while in Boulder Creek at the stone steps in Eben G. Fine Park at the start of our outing. Rey waded out as far as she could reach on the leash, trying to get to the deepest water available. Griff has taken a liking to a particular boulder along Boulder Creek Path and has consistently pulled over to check out the news and leave his two cents during his last several pack outings to the area, including today. Arlo ea

Wednesday Pack Activities (9/2/2026)
Adventure Pack Tozai, Lou, Bear, and Nelly enjoyed their stroll down Boulder Creek Path today. Even though the high today was only about 84F, it was already nearly that hot when we set out, so we forewent the sunny mountain trail. The walk wasn't particularly eventful - just the usual sniffing and occasional marking; the pack walked together very well. No notable squirrel sightings along the creek today. Variety Pack Carl, Griff, Alfie, and Teo took the long way around Martin

Tuesday Pack Activities (9/1/2026)
Adventure Pack Griff, Arlo, Racer, and Rey headed to Boulder Creek Path for their pack outing today. I thought we might go up the mountain on Anemone Trail, but it was already in the 80s F when we set out, and the sun was shining, so we stuck to the cooler route. Racer had her nose to the ground most of the time, as she often does. Imogene was quick to sniff along with her whenever she came upon an interesting area. Griff and Arlo patrolled the other side of the path for note

Monday Pack Activities (8/31/2026)
Adventure Pack Carl led the way up Anemone Trail with a spirit of adventure, forging ahead and checking over his shoulder every so often to see if the rest of us were keeping up. Tozai and Rey hiked on leash at my sides on the way out. Meanwhile, Bear was lagging far behind the rest of the pack, taking his time to sniff and then ambling along in no hurry, the way he had gotten used to doing when Ruffers hiked with him. Tozai and Rey did some wrestling on our way back down, wh

Friday Pack Activities (8/28/2026)
Bonus Pack Our newest pack member, Beso joined Alfie and Yoshi for a stroll to Wonderland Lake this morning! Beso is a Bernese Mountain Dog who is only about 15 weeks old so she's just dipping her toes in hanging out with the big dogs. She did great on our walk. At the start, she kept trying to bound in front of Alfie, but before long she was trotting in place beside him and only pulling ahead slightly. Between the three of them, Beso did the best posing for the pack photo; b

Thursday Pack Activities (8/27/2026)
Adventure Pack Rey and Griff led the way up Anemone Trail while Arlo and Racer hiked along at my sides. Arlo was nervous about the stormy weather at the start of the hike, but he relaxed more and more as the sun came out. At one point, a Golden Retriever came up from behind the pack while we were at the crossroads between Anemone Trail and Red Rocks Trail. Griff was the first to trot over and say hello. Rey waited for the Golden Retriever to catch up to her for her greetings.

Wednesday Pack Activities (8/26/2026)
Adventure Pack Tozai, Bear, Lucy, and Nelly headed up the mountain along Anemone Trail at The Peoples' Crossing today. We encountered several other dogs during our outing. The first was one passing by the trail head just as we set out; Bear and Tozai both made quick moves toward the dog, who was passing along the paved path about 20 feet away from us, and Bear grumbled. Their reactions surprised me because they haven't had outbursts like that lately. Lucy and Nelly might have

Tuesday Pack Activities (8/25/2026)
Adventure Pack Imogene, Arlo, Griff, and Racer hiked up Anemone Trail today, with cooler weather and intermittent cloud cover. We encountered several other dogs at different points on the trail. The pack was very calm and polite as they went by, and a couple of the other dogs stopped to sniff hello. We passed through Eben G. Fine Park at the end of our hike, and I was surprised by how empty it was on such a nice day. Variety Pack Carl, Alfie, and Tozai hit the trails at CU So

Monday Pack Activities (8/24/2026)
Adventure Pack Bear, Rey, and Tozai all waded out into the deeper water of Boulder Creek, while Carl got just as submerged in the shallows. We headed west up Boulder Creek Path for a bit today instead of just striking out east down the creek from Eben G. Fine Park. There was a small pile of something indistinct in the grass of the park out in front of the library, that Tozai pulled hard towards when we passed it. On the way back through, it caught everybody's interest and the

Friday Pack Activities (8/21/2026)
Adventure Pack Lucy, Tozai, Lou, and Nelly strolled Boulder Creek Path on what was one of the hottest days we've had this year, with the temperature hitting 99 F. Nelly didn't get into the creek but she put up with me sprinkling a bit of water over her to help cool her off a bit while the others all climbed down into the creek. There were a bunch of kids in the fields outside Boulder High School, and several admired the dogs, saying that they loved them. Variety Pack The blon
