Wednesday Pack Activities (9/16/2026)
Adventure Pack Nelly, Bear, Tozai, and Lumi headed up Anemone Trail after taking their time to sniff around a lot by the trail head. The pack did a great job of politely stepping to the side to let other hikers pass by on narrow stretches of trail. Bear and Nelly weren't too eager to go up the mountain, so I had to keep circling back around behind them to nudge them along. Tozai and Lumi had no such hesitations about the ascent. Nelly somehow got her back, left leg stuck in a

Tuesday Pack Activities (9/15/2026)
Adventure Pack It was a noticeably cooler day as Racer, Imogene, Griff, and Arlo headed up Anemone Trail. Arlo went for a roll in the grass at Eben G. Fine Park before we got to the mountain, while his packmates stood and looked on. Once Arlo was upright again, Imogene hopped around him a bit, as she always does. Everybody was still pretty thirsty for a drink from the CamelBak when we stopped in the shade for a pack photo. Racer had a little trouble on the rocky descent along

Monday Pack Activities (9/14/2026)
Adventure Pack Tozai, Bear, and Carl headed up Anemone Trail today. They made it to a gorgeous lookout point where the wind was blowing; and the wind obviously blows there pretty consistently, judging by the shape of the pine that was in the background of the pack photo. Bear lagged behind and lay down in every shaded spot he could find on the way up the mountain, while Carl led the ascent. On the way back down, Tozai rough-housed with Bear a bit, but Bear didn't have a lot o

Friday Pack Activities (9/11/2026)
Adventure Pack Lou, Tozai, Yoshi, and Nelly headed up Anemone Trail today. The tongues were out, and everyone was happy to take water from the CamelBak. We came across several hikers and trail runners, but only one or two of the canine variety, when we were near the trail head at The Peoples' Crossing. Everyone was pretty mellow today and just stuck to trekking the trail without any rowdy business. Variety Pack Alfie, Archie, Carl, and Lumi hit the trails at CU South this aft

Thursday Pack Activities (9/10/2026)
Adventure Pack Racer, Archie, Griff, and Arlo strolled Boulder Creek Path as the sun and heat returned today. Archie was not so set on trying to mount his packmates, though he did start trying to get a little frisky with Arlo toward the end of the walk. Griff made his point yesterday and Archie didn't bug him at all today. We encountered some food scattered along the path in a couple spots. Arlo snatched something up on the way out; on the way back, he grabbed what looked lik

Wednesday Pack Activities (9/9/2026)
Adventure Pack Archie was back out with the pack today! He and Tozai had a blast wrestling each other as we made our way up Anemone Trail and continued their rowdy play through the descent as well. Bear was annoyed when they kept bumping into him while he was taking a load off in the shade. Nelly, on the other hand, danced around the edges of their tussle and poked her head in at them here and there. When they were on leash walking at my side, Archie kept trying to mount Toza

Tuesday Pack Activities (9/8/2026)
Adventure Pack Griff, Arlo, Racer, and Imogene headed up Anemone Trail at The Peoples' Crossing today. There were some big groups of kids hiking, and the dogs all did a wonderful job stepping over to the side of the trail and minding their manners as all the kids streamed by us. Some of the kids told the dogs how cute they all were. Variety Pack The contrast between Carl and Tozai at the dog park is amusing. Carl just wants to fetch his tennis ball and doesn't care about anyt

Thursday Pack Activities (9/3/2026)
Adventure Pack Arlo, Griff, Racer, and Rey all spent a little while in Boulder Creek at the stone steps in Eben G. Fine Park at the start of our outing. Rey waded out as far as she could reach on the leash, trying to get to the deepest water available. Griff has taken a liking to a particular boulder along Boulder Creek Path and has consistently pulled over to check out the news and leave his two cents during his last several pack outings to the area, including today. Arlo ea

Wednesday Pack Activities (9/2/2026)
Adventure Pack Tozai, Lou, Bear, and Nelly enjoyed their stroll down Boulder Creek Path today. Even though the high today was only about 84F, it was already nearly that hot when we set out, so we forewent the sunny mountain trail. The walk wasn't particularly eventful - just the usual sniffing and occasional marking; the pack walked together very well. No notable squirrel sightings along the creek today. Variety Pack Carl, Griff, Alfie, and Teo took the long way around Martin

Tuesday Pack Activities (9/1/2026)
Adventure Pack Griff, Arlo, Racer, and Rey headed to Boulder Creek Path for their pack outing today. I thought we might go up the mountain on Anemone Trail, but it was already in the 80s F when we set out, and the sun was shining, so we stuck to the cooler route. Racer had her nose to the ground most of the time, as she often does. Imogene was quick to sniff along with her whenever she came upon an interesting area. Griff and Arlo patrolled the other side of the path for note
