Adventure Pack Griff, Rey, Arlo, and Racer hit the trails at Chautauqua again on another day of beautiful hiking weather. There were actually some fresh patches of light-green grass growing amidst the fallen pine needles, which the dogs found appealing. Adventure Pack Bear, Nelly, Tozai, and Lucy headed to Chautauqua for their hike today. I myself picked up a scent at the base of Bluebell-Baird Trail that I think had to have been a nearby bear. The dogs didn't react, but I found the scent pretty overpowering. Adventure Pack Chautauqua was back to bustling today; but we encountered a lot of dogs instead of kids, this time around. Lucy and Tozai pulled a bit as the other dogs went by but overall minded their manners. Lou and Nelly remained calm and polite. Tozai and Lucy roamed through the fields around Bluebell Mesa Trail while Lou and Nelly hiked at my sides. Lucy didn't seem to find any rodents, as she didn't do any pounces that I saw.
