Wednesday Pack Activities (7/15/2026)
Adventure Pack Lucy, Rey, Bear, and Tozai walked Boulder Creek Path today. Everybody got right into the water right from the get-go today, which helped for keeping cool. On the return leg of our walk, Tozai made a startled move much like Carl did yesterday, and I think it was around the same area. I still didn't see anything and none of the other dogs reacted. However, I did notice a couple bunnies at different points in the walk, so maybe that is the explanation behind the m

Tuesday Pack Activities (7/14/2026)
Adventure Pack Imogene hung back while Racer, Arlo, and Griff enjoyed the water during our first stop at Boulder Creek. She joined Racer the next stop, wading around in shallow water while Racer doggie-paddled against the current for a bit. Griff and Arlo waited on the bank for a bit but eventually climbed down into the water as well, and then Arlo lingered and kept bowing down to soak himself. Racer kept her nose to the ground for most of the walk. Griff pulled over to sniff

Monday Pack Activities (7/13/2026)
Adventure Pack Carl stayed dry while Bear, Tozai, and Rey started off the pack walk with a dip in Boulder Creek. Bear was especially happy about being in the water, as he kept laying down and then getting up and looking back at me with a big grin. Later on, everybody got into the creek to cool off. We came by a few adult geese by the Kids' Fishing Pond. None of the geese hissed at us even though all the dogs were staring at them intently. Variety Pack Gidget was excited to gr

Friday Pack Activities (7/10/2026)
Adventure Pack After a brief excursion with Tozai during their time off leash together, Lucy returned to the pack and stayed right in between Nelly and Lou for most of the rest of the hike. Tozai did a bit more wandering but didn't go off too far. Lou and Nelly poked along, with frequent pauses to step to the side of the trail and sniff, pee, or just hang out in the shade. Silver Lake Ditch was dry. We headed back down to Boulder Creek after circling the red rocks. The shade

Thursday Pack Activities (7/9/2026)
Adventure Pack Rey was in and out of Boulder Creek at our first stop, while Griff, Arlo, and Racer lingered in the water for as long as I let them. Arlo did his usual bows to dunk his underside; Racer chomped at the surface of the water; Griff just stood and enjoyed the feeling of the water rushing past him. We found a spot further down the creek where the water was deep enough for the dogs to swim right by the bank. The current swept them downstream pretty swiftly. Griff cli

Wednesday Pack Activities (7/8/2026)
Adventure Pack On our first stop at Boulder Creek, Nelly sniffed among the rocks on the bank while Tozai and Bear splashed around together. On our second stop, Nelly was feeling more adventurous and stepped one paw down into the creek while the boys splashed around together some more, tossing their heads around playfully while scooping up water. Variety Pack Storm clouds moved in as Lumi, Griff, Carl, and Alfie headed to Boulder Creek Path for the afternoon. Everyone was eage

Tuesday Pack Activities (7/7/2026)
Adventure Pack Carl, Arlo, Tozai, Racer, and Griff enjoyed Boulder Creek today. Arlo repeatedly play-bowed in the water, and Tozai mirrored him a few times. Despite the playful posing, nobody made any real moves to engage, and they both just turned their attentions back to the water. Meanwhile, Griff and Racer waded around nearby, and Carl hung out on the step just above the water level. Later on, when we were further down the creek, by Broadway, there was a family of geese s

Monday Pack Activities (7/6/2026)
Adventure Pack Carl joined Bear, Rey, and Tozai for our hike up the Red Rocks Trail from The Peoples' Crossing today. The pack was in and out of Silver Lake Ditch pretty quickly, But Carl and Bear made another stop there a little further along the trail. There is some construction going on for utility lines through the area, but they let us pass through while I had the pack on leash. We continued through Eben G. Fine Park and a bit down Boulder Creek path before wrapping up t

Thursday Pack Activities (7/2/2026)
Adventure Pack Arlo got spooked by something when we first set out, so we spent a long while hanging out at the trail head at The Peoples' Crossing while he gradually settled down. I didn't hear fireworks, but maybe there were some in the distance that I didn't notice. After we eventually got moving, the pack enjoyed a break to cool off in Silver Lake Ditch. No snakes around today for Racer to knock into the water. Arlo wanted to stay submerged for as long as possible. Griff

Wednesday Pack Activities (7/1/2026)
Adventure Pack Nelly stepped down into the water at Silver Lake Ditch with both paws to take a quick drink while Ruffers was still on the bank behind her, and Tozai and Bear were splashing around a little further upstream. The boys had fun chasing each other up and down the various stretches of Red Rocks Trail. Ruffers poked along a bit more slowly today and lingered in the shaded spots. She hung out for a short while at a nice vantage point, to survey the city that is hers.
