Tuesday Pack Activities (4/14/2026)
Adventure Pack Imogene galloped up and down the empty trails today, while Griff kept steady a short distance ahead of me. I guess the overcast and slightly rainy weather kept a lot of hikers inside today, but it was very comfortable for a pack hike! Variety Pack Tozai, Arlo, and Racer zoomed all around Valmont Dog Park this afternoon. Meanwhile, Dylan followed me around and Carl fetched a tennis ball that Jen threw for him. The park was completely empty when we first arrived,

Monday Pack Activities (4/13/2026)
Adventure Pack Ruffers and Bear were not interested in going up Bluebell Road for today's hike. They were pretty stubborn about it, so we ended up hiking through the meadow instead, with lots of pauses for sniffing. Tozai and Rey enjoyed romping a bit while their packmates poked along. Tozai is still learning to contain himself and not always push forward on the offensive when trying to play with Rey, which is odd because he is so good at being inviting towards other dogs at

Thursday Pack Activities (4/9/2026)
Bonus Pack Dylan, Mrs. Miggins, and Roger Roger went on the same stroll to Wonderland Lake as they did yesterday, at about the same pace as they did yesterday. I don't remember well enough to say if they stopped to sniff the same spots as they did yesterday, but it seems about right. One thing that was different from yesterday was that a very sweet, calm, friendly yellow Lab stopped to sniff hello with everyone, which was definitely the highlight of today's outing. Adventure

Wednesday Pack Activities (4/8/2026)
Bonus Pack Roger Roger, Dylan, and Mrs. Miggins enjoyed a slow-paced stroll to Wonderland Lake this morning. Dylan is at the tail end of an antibiotics treatment for bronchitis, and is hopefully turning a corner to feeling better. His back legs were wobbly whenever he tried to turn in place, but he did fine when moving in a straight line. Roger Roger, about 1 year Dylan's junior, was looking sturdy as he trotted dutifully at my side. Mrs. Miggins kept pulling all over the pla

Tuesday Pack Activities (4/7/2026)
Adventure Pack Racer, Imogene, Griff, and Arlo had a shorter pack hike on the Red Rocks Spurs at The Peoples' Crossing today. Pack activities started late after a vet visit was required for a boarder and then I had to go hunting for my misplaced phone. Once we made it to the trail, the dogs were all smiles as they hopped out of the packmobile. Without the ditch to check out, Racer's sniffing alongside the trail was at normal levels - which still tends to involve more pausing

Tuesday Pack Activities (3/31/2026)
Adventure Pack The pack was again extremely interested in the scents to be found in the ditch beside Bluebell Road today, and Racer was again the most insistent that we stop to sniff every few feet. It is interesting that the Tuesday/Thursday packs are so preoccupied with that ditch, while the Monday/Wednesday/Friday packs hardly ever stop to check it out. Once we got past that and up to Mesa Trail, it was pretty quiet as we kept a steady pace. Racer and Arlo made a brief sto

Monday Pack Activities (3/30/2026)
Adventure Pack Bear and Tozai did a bit of wrestling on the trails today but didn't get too crazy. Tozai found a stick and flaunted it while Bear hovered around him to assess his packmate's find. Milo and Rey showed no interest in stealing Tozai's treasure. When everyone else passed on it, Tozai left the stick behind. Variety Pack Lou, Carl, and Alfie headed to CU South this afternoon. Although the air was warm, the sun was mostly behind the clouds, which made for a very com

Friday Pack Activities (3/27/2026)
Adventure Pack Lucy played rabbit as Tozai gave pursuit all through the fields on Mesa Trail today. Tozai's leg was wrapped for a flesh wound, but it didn't slow him down at all. Meanwhile, Milo trekked at my side. We saw a lot of other dogs out at Chautauqua today. When they would go by, I could hear some soft whining from the pack but couldn't tell which dog(s) it was coming from. Variety Pack Alfie, Carl, Milo, Lumi, and Dylan headed to Bear Creek Greenway this afternoon.

Thursday Pack Activities (3/26/2026)
Adventure Pack Arlo, Griff, Rey, and Racer were all really dragging on the walk today, despite the weather being fairly mild this morning. The whole pack has taken up Racer's habit of wanting to stop and thoroughly investigate every inch of the ditch alongside Bluebell Road. Once we were past that, Arlo kept stopping in place. We made a long stop at the stream and didn't end up making it very far up Mesa Trail before it was time to head back. The return leg was slow but stead

Wednesday Pack Activities (3/25/2026)
Adventure Pack Nelly and Bear were feeling the heat early on in our Chautauqua hike. They both kept stopping on the way up Bluebell Road toward Mesa Trail. Once we got to the shadier trail and stopped at the stream, they seemed refreshed. Milo and Bear both lay down to get their bellies wet before we continued on. Tozai ran up and down the trail a bit on his own while Milo, Bear, and Nelly poked along with me. Variety Pack Milo, Alfie, Griff, and Carl sniffed and marked the f
