Adventure Pack
Tozai and Rey bounded through the fields beside Bluebell-Baird Trail as we hiked over the mountain at Chautauqua today. We encountered a herd of deer just as I was putting them back on leash to switch with their packmates. Once we got past the deer, Bear and Ruffers approached their off-leash time a bit differently. They took their time, with Ruffers sticking close to the trail while Bear ventured further into the brush. The wet conditions made for few hikers.
Variety Pack
Dylan, Carl, Lumi, Alfie, and Lou sniffed their way along Bear Creek Greenway this afternoon. We made several stops along the way, where everybody gathered around to check out the same spot. Dylan was happy with the cool, damp weather and his panting was at a minimum. He enjoyed a wiggle in the wet grass early on. His packmates declined to join him. We made the obligatory stops at the trail marker boulder and the fire hydrant, for Carl and Lumi respectively. Alfie and Lumi noticed a nearby squirrel who ran down from a fence post as we approached, but neither of them made any moves for it. Lou was just happy to follow wherever her packmates and I led as she brought up the rear.
