Adventure Pack

Ruffers, Bear, and Rey were all a bit slow heading up Bluebell Road at the beginning of our hike. We eventually made it up to Bluebell-Mesa Trail, where Tozai and Rey played a bit off leash. Tozai is still learning not to be too pushy with his packmates. I implored him to be a gentleman and invite Rey to play rather than just tackling her, and he reluctantly agreed to give that approach a try. Rey didn't try to engage when Tozai backed off, and instead they just explored together. After that, Bear and Ruffers lingered behind to sniff around together. Despite the pauses, they kept up a decent pace once we were on flat and downhill trails.

Variety Pack

Lumi was quick to stretch out in Boulder Creek when we made a stop there at the beginning of our afternoon stroll. Carl and Lou also got in the water, but didn't go for the full soak like Lumi. Alfie hung out on the bank of the creek. We passed a family of geese with eight little goslings at the Kids' Fishing Pond. The dogs didn't react to them despite the parent geese hissing at us as we passed by. Carl was very happy that we did a loop through Eben G. Fine Park at the end of the walk so he could mark all his trees, which we had bypassed when we first set out.
