Monday Pack Activities (9/28/2026)

Adventure Pack
Carl and Bear led the way up Bluebell Baird from Baseline Trail this morning with smiles on their faces. Along with Tozai, they left countless scent marks on the way along Baseline Trail. Rey did some sniffing beside her packmates but didn't feel compelled to leave her mark everywhere like the boys did. Tozai continues to require interruption in order to not bulldoze Rey when they are off leash together. There was a brief stint where he was minding his manners with her enough that Rey started initiating play and running with him, but he started pushing her around again and she sought shelter back amidst the rest of the pack. There was a small herd of cattle grazing by the Chautauqua trail head. The dogs all peered over at them as we passed but everybody stayed cool about the uncommon animal encounter.
Variety Pack
Alfie bolted to chase a rabbit down our long, shared driveway when I was letting him into the house with Lou before our walk, whining and whimpering at the fleeing critter as he went, which drew out a couple neighbors who were concerned about the sounds they heard coming out of him. Lou, on the other hand, just went into the house as expected. On the walk, Alfie also lunged at a squirrel who crossed the path just ahead of us. Lou again behaved herself despite her packmate's outburst. Several passers-by commented on how cute/beautiful Alfie and Lou were today.
