Adventure Pack

Arlo got spooked by something when we first set out, so we spent a long while hanging out at the trail head at The Peoples' Crossing while he gradually settled down. I didn't hear fireworks, but maybe there were some in the distance that I didn't notice. After we eventually got moving, the pack enjoyed a break to cool off in Silver Lake Ditch. No snakes around today for Racer to knock into the water. Arlo wanted to stay submerged for as long as possible. Griff and Rey enjoyed roaming the mountainside together as we continued on.

Variety Pack

Tozai, Alfie, Carl, and Lou strolled Goose Creek Greenway with an abundance of prairie dogs chirping at them as they went. Tozai and Alfie didn't make any moves towards them but were definitely alert to their activity and subtly pulled ahead as they walked. Lou and Carl didn't really care about the critters. It was pretty cool when we first set out, but the cloud cover dissipated as we went and the sun started blasting us on the way back, so everyone started panting a lot. We took a break in the shade, and then the clouds moved back into place for our final stretch.
