Bonus Pack

Yoshi, Dylan, and Lumi headed to Wonderland Lake for a morning stroll. Dylan led the way on sniff patrol. Yoshi was quick to follow him. Lumi took his time checking out the scene from his own position before joining the others to see what scents they had found. Dylan and Yoshi marked pretty liberally, while Lumi kept reserves in the tank and only turned the tap on a couple times.

Adventure Pack

Tozai, Lou, Yoshi, and Nelly hiked across Chautauqua along Bluebell-Baird Trail today. A group of kids ran by us on our way down Bluebell Road, and Tozai got excited and tried to jump towards them. We caught up to them by the bathroom hut, and a few of the kids asked to say hello to the dogs. Nelly was nearest to them and was first to receive some gentle strokes and pats. Yoshi minded his manners very well and waited his turn beside her. Tozai was still excited and tried to jump on the first kid who came near, so I advised them not to engage with him and the kids listened well. Lou then ambled over to them to get a few pats as well. We had a similar pattern of behavior when greeting a friendly Australian Shepherd at the trail head, after everyone had a chance to say hello to our OSMP volunteer friend, Rich.

Variety Pack

It was a pretty hot day today, so the pack headed to Boulder Creek and got to take a dip out in front of the library. Lumi didn't let the opportunity go to waste and lay in the water while his packmates just got wet up to their ankles. At one point on the walk, Lucy, Lumi, and Alfie all keenly watched a squirrel chewing on an acorn at the base of a nearby tree. Lucy pulled a bit, but nobody made any dramatic attempts to lunge. Later on, Alfie and Lucy clocked another squirrel in a small tree that we passed. Lumi was oblivious to that one. Carl and Ruffers didn't pay much attention to any of the squirrels.
