Friday Pack Activities (11/6/2026)
Yoshi, Tozai, Lou, Lucy Nelly Carl, Alfie
Adventure Pack
Lou made lots of sniff stops at Chautauqua today and punctuated each one by leaving a scent mark. One of the times when Tozai joined her, he tagged her on the shoulder, so I rinsed her off with some water from the CamelBak. When we reach Bluebell Baird Trail from Ski Jump Trail, Lucy perked up and started sniffing the air. At the same time, Yoshi's posture stiffened and he started pulling forward and letting out a series of low woofs. I scanned the area but couldn't find whatever had them on alert. We saw a lot of hikers, on the trail to the Third Flatiron and Royal Arch, and many of them admired the pack and how calm and orderly everyone was.
Variety Pack
Nelly and Alfie pulled over to sniff at the side of Bear Creek Path a bit past the basketball courts, and I let them for a moment before I realized they were sniffing a dead squirrel, at which point I hurried them along. On our return trip, in a different area, Nelly wiggled on her back in the grass, which is something I haven't seen her do very often. Meanwhile, Carl and Alfie were checking out a nearby tree. Alfie went for a roll in the grass as well, in our last stretch of walking through Martin Park.
