Friday Pack Activities (3/13/2026)

Adventure Pack

Yoshi and Tozai had a blast chasing and chewing on each other when they had some open trail where they could go wild off leash without other hikers to accommodate. They also did a great job of coming back to me when I called them, when some hikers did eventually approach. Meanhile, Nelly and Lou poked along calmly at my sides. Lou especially wanted to take her time. She always has, but she seems to move more and more slowly as time goes on. Nelly didn't drag behind, but instead pulled over to the side of the trail here and there to sniff around. She also paused for a drink from the low stream we crossed on the way to Mesa Trail, before delicately dancing over the rocks across it to avoid getting her paws wet.

Variety Pack

Alfie, Dylan, Lumi, Griff, Carl, Racer, and Arlo all headed to CU South this afternoon. With such a big group, the sniff breaks were long and full of complex knot logic as I tried to keep everyone untangled despite their persistent efforts to thwart me with their constant milling about amongst each other. A few dogs came up to greet us along the way. The whole pack greeted them pretty calmly and pleasantly. Carl and Arlo were the most excitable of the bunch, but they just let out a couple whines of enthusiasm about making friends.
