Adventure Pack
The trails at Chautauqua were busy today, but Tozai and Yoshi got some time to romp in the meadow without other hikers to mind. Lou kept close to me, while Nelly was more focused on sniffing. It was warm enough that everyone was happy to take some water but nobody was panting all that hard. Tozai didn't have the best manners, as he kept trying to nose in on the water during his packmates' turns. Alternatively, Yoshi's tack was to nibble at the treat pouch while I was distracted with watering his packmates. Nelly and Lou both patiently waited their turns. Lou and Tozai went up to our OSMP volunteer friend Rich at the trail head to get some love at the end of our hike while Yoshi and Nelly stood by and sniffed hello with another dog who passed by us.
Variety Pack
Ruffers, Carl, Alfie, and Yoshi enjoyed strolling Bear Creek Greenway this afternoon. The boys were more interested in sniffing Ruffers today than usual. They must have detected whatever has had her licking at herself the past few days. Despite that, Ruffers had good energy for the pack walk and didn't show signs of irritation while we were out and about. Ruffers, Carl, and Yoshi were all thirsty during the shade breaks we took along the way. Alfie backed away from the water I was offering, as he has always done. Instead, he lay down and watched for wildlife in the forest just across the path from us while his packmates slaked their thirsts.
