Adventure Pack

Alfie and Lucy were very interested in a shrub we came by on our way up Chautauqua Trail. Lou and Tozai soon joined them in sniffing it, and the whole pack spent several minutes giving it a very thorough examination. Later on in the hike, a small pine tree got a similar treatment. In between those stops, Tozai chased Lucy around for a bit. Lucy ran with Tozai at first but took refuge among the pack when his persistent advances were more than she knew how to handle. Tozai then entertained himself with a stick, which he playfully flaunted while Alfie thought about trying to steal it. Lou kept up pace a bit better today than she usually tends to on our mountain hikes.

Variety Pack

Alfie, Tozai, Carl, and Ruffers enjoyed the trails at CU South this afternoon. Ruffers was in her habit of doubling back to check on points of interest when their scents caught up to her, well after we had passed them by. The others were all happy to have the spots pointed out to them their elder packmate, and everyone was in agreement that there were indeed important affairs to learn more about. A very happy, excited Golden Retriever came up to the back to sniff hello, then back off with a playful bounce, then approached again, and repeated this several times before running off to catch up with his human.
