Friday Pack Activities (5/23/2025)

Adventure Pack

Everyone was happy to take a drink from the stream when we crossed it on our way up to Woods Quarry Trail. Nelly made sure not to get her paws wet as she delicately traversed the stepping stones. On the other hand, Lou dunked herself in the water for a quick belly-soak, while Tozai and Yoshi splashed their ways through. Lou had an upset stomach and vomited up some of her breakfast after going for a lot of grass. The rest of the pack grazed a bit, but I didn't let them get too much of it. I think Yoshi and Tozai were mostly just doing it because they didn't want to miss out on whatever Lou found so appealing, and Nelly is always looking for an excuse to munch on grass anyway.

Variety Pack

Lumi was happy to sprawl out in the water of Boulder Creek while his packmates poked around on the bank and in the shallows. Lucy took after her big sister (Nelly) and was the only one who opted to stay totally dry. Carl and Alfie led the sniff brigade. Ruffers, Imogene, and Nelly would sometimes join them, if they lingered at a point of interest for more than a moment. Lumi was typically the last to follow up, after all of his packmates had checked out the area. Several people out along Boulder Creek were especially impressed with today's pack - asking to take photos, and commenting on how well-mannered everyone was. I have to say - aside from Lucy getting a little excited about some squirrels and pulling a bit at one point - everyone was exceptionally orderly and in rhythm today.
