Friday Pack Activities (6/27/2025)

Adventure Pack

Jen lent a hand with the pack, so Teo could join along with Nelly, Lou, Yoshi, and Rey. Nelly actually stepped into the stream with her front paws while getting a drink. Meanwhile, Lou had lay down in front of her to get as much skin-to-water contact as possible. Afterwards, Nelly was the one who shook off as if she had gotten soaked. Teo, Yoshi, and Rey waded through the water and lingered for a moment, but didn't dunk themselves in. We only went a short way up Saddle Rock Trail. The pack moved slowly in the heat, and we pulled over to the side of the path whenever other hikers were coming through, to help keep Teo relatively calm.

Variety Pack

We found a spot along Boulder Creek where the water quickly got pretty deep, where Lumi and Alfie both waded out. even though the water nearly washed over Lumi's back, Alfie's belly didn't get wet. Carl stayed on a shallow shelf before the drop-off, and Ruffers kept to the water's edge. The dogs stopped to sniff at the foliage along the edge of the path every now and then, and Alfie tromped through it a couple different times without any clear purpose, as he tends to do. When the others ventured into the brush, it was because they wanted to relieve themselves, or at least mark a point of interest.
