Adventure Pack

After a brief excursion with Tozai during their time off leash together, Lucy returned to the pack and stayed right in between Nelly and Lou for most of the rest of the hike. Tozai did a bit more wandering but didn't go off too far. Lou and Nelly poked along, with frequent pauses to step to the side of the trail and sniff, pee, or just hang out in the shade. Silver Lake Ditch was dry. We headed back down to Boulder Creek after circling the red rocks. The shade and cool air off the water made for a less strenuous latter part to our outing.

Variety Pack

Blu, Carl, Gidget, Alfie, and Lumi enjoyed more cloud cover than the Adventure Pack had earlier in the day, which made for an even pleasanter stroll along Boulder Creek path. Carl had a very growly and unfriendly attitude toward one dog we passed by at Eben G. Fine Park. The rest of the pack was unbothered by the other dog despite Carl's accusations, and the other dog was not perturbed either. Lumi stopped in place a couple times early on in the walk but eventually started following pace without protest. Blu and Alfie both liked kicking up grass after marking points of interest, and I had to interrupt them so they wouldn't kick it up at people who were walking by. Gidget was pulling off to the side more today, not as content to follow in formation at the back of the pack, but she eventually settled into a position between Carl and Blu.
