Adventure Pack

Nelly chilled on a nearby boulder while her packmates got into Boulder Creek at the start of our pack walk. During our second stop at the creek, Yoshi did some doggie-paddling in a pocket of deep water. Sanni went to the same area but the water wasn't quite deep enough for her to swim so she just stood and let the water flow past her. Lou stuck to shallower water, where she lay down for a good soak. Nelly stretched her neck down from the bank to get a drink without letting a paw touch the water.

Variety Pack

Kona, Carl, Alfie, and Lumi headed to Boulder Creek for a hot afternoon. Lumi stopped and sat and stared at the creek early on, making his desire clear. The spot where he stopped had people hanging out on the bank, so I made the pack walk a little further until we found a place that was clear. Lumi promptly lay down in the water. Alfie and Carl waded around in shallows. Kona avoided getting wet, much like Nelly did earlier. Kona sniffed hello with a young Golden Retriever who stopped when passing by. Lumi and Alfie followed up after Kona made the initial greeting. Carl just grumbled and barked until the other dog moved on, and one of the other dog's humans observed, "It's always the little ones!"
