Adventure Pack

Chautauqua was a bit busier than I was expecting, given the wet weather. Bear and Carl stopped here and there on Bluebell Baird Trail, taking their time to sniff along the way. A hiker warned that there were a couple deer close to the trail, so I put them back on leash. Ironically, Bear and Carl didn't seem to notice the two bucks even though Rey and Tozai were staring right at them. Rey seemed to have more of a pep in her step today, after having had some recent issues with a limp and a swollen paw. During our final stretch on Bluebell Road, when everyone was back on leash, Tozai started jumping around and trying to tackle Rey and Bear. He was pretty persistent despite my interruptions.

Variety Pack

Teo, Alfie, Lou, and Griff headed to Goose Creek Greenway this afternoon. Teo started off pretty mellow, for Teo - just a bit of anxious whimpering when he first hopped out of the packmobile. He pulled ahead some but not as vigorously as usual. He ended up lunging when one bike went by but kept calmer and stayed in place beside me for the dozen or so other bicyclists that passed over the course of our walk. Alfie was kind of in his own world walking beside Teo, and kept veering off the path to sniff in the dirt and grass as he went. Meanwhile, Lou and Griff were perfect angels who consistently kept in formation and on pace throughout the walk, providing an example that Teo hopefully noticed.
