Bonus Pack

We had a new addition to the pack today - Aldo! Aldo came along with little Viv, who is from the family of our very first pack member ever, Chelsea. Viv has met some of the other pack members before, but today was Aldo's first time out with everyone. This morning, they joined Blu and Gidget on a trip around Wonderland Lake. Aside from some pulling by Blu - who had some fits of intense desire to pull off to the side and munch on foliage - everyone walked together pretty nicely. The air was still relatively cool, which made for a pleasant time.

Adventure Pack

Yoshi and Tozai enjoyed some wrestling around before heading out for our hike today. Aldo and Nelly joined them for a trek around the Red Rocks Spur trails at The Peoples' Crossing. Our usual dipping spot at the bridge over Silver Lake Ditch was occupied by some other dogs, so we bypassed it and the dogs got into the water a bit further along the trail. Well, Yoshi and Tozai got into the water. Nelly, of course, just took a drink while remaining dry. Aldo stood at the water's edge and pawed at the water a bit before deciding to step in, but then came back out almost immediately. We continued up the mountain and wound our way around the base of the Red Rocks formation. Nelly stopped in place a few times as we were looping around and starting to make our way back, but she didn't seem to have a particular agenda and she got back on the move when I prodded her along. Aldo spent a little more time in the water when we stopped there again on our way down.

Variety Pack

Carl, Ruffers, Lumi, Alfie, Aldo, and Tozai headed to Bear Creek Greenway for an afternoon stroll. We made use of a little breakaway section of the path as another dog came by, to allow them plenty of room to pass without anyone getting worked up. Lumi wanted to climb down into the water while we were there, but I kept him from it because it is slow moving and tends to have a bit of an odor. The others were all content to just hang out in place. Everybody sniffed around the trail marker boulder - led, of course, by Carl. Alfie veered over into the grass at one point during the return leg of the walk, and then decided to flop down and roll around for a minute. None of the others joined him, but he seemed satisfied with his decision. Despite going on the hike earlier, Tozai and Aldo had no shortage of energy, but they both maintained good walking manners.
