Adventure Pack

Tozai kept hounding Yoshi to play with him when they first went off leash on Anemone Trail this morning. At first, Yoshi kept close to the rest of the pack and acted aloof, but Tozai's persistence eventually got to him and they started racing up and down the trails together. At one point, Yoshi was so caught up in the play that he clotheslined himself on Lou's leash. That put an end to the races, but everybody seemed ok. Nelly was quick to go to the water on both of our stops at Silver Lake Ditch, but just to get a quick drink from atop the bank. Lou didn't want to climb all the way in, but she found a shallow spot to lie down and get her belly wet. Meanwhile, Yoshi and Tozai hopped right in and splashed around together.

Variety Pack

Alfie, Teo, Ruffers, Sanni, and Carl headed to Bear Creek Greenway this afternoon. Alfie was again on the lookout for squirrels, and hopped up at one of the trees in Martin Park like he had done with Lumi Wednesday. Sanni had some strong opinions about where she wanted to sniff, and moved like a bulldozer to where her nose led her. Carl was very excited to greet Ruffers in the packmobile before the walk. The two of them walked with Jen so I could have enough bandwidth to manage Teo, who is still working on calming himself when out and about. Ruffers and Carl were perfect angels for their favorite pack leader. Teo started off today's walk in a mood to jump at every passing bicyclist. There were a lot, and we stayed to the side of the path, where he wasn't able to get to them. After having him sit and wait enough times, he started containing himself and letting the bicyclists pass by without attempting to lunge. It took some time and effort, but it was good to see him make progress from start to finish.
