Adventure Pack

Tozai and Rey played a bit off leash at Shanahan Ridge today. Rey seemed like she wanted to run, but Tozai kept engaging her in wrestling matches. Rey eventually gave up and started walking close to the rest of the pack to send Tozai the message that she didn't want more wrestling, and Tozai is learning to respect the space more than he used to. Bear went over the hill to briefly check out the little pond again today. He just dipped down for a moment and then came right back to the trail to sniff around with Ruffers, who was enjoying munching on snow here and there as she explored.

Variety Pack

The pack was full of friends this afternoon, and Jen lent a hand for our walk to Wonderland Lake. Alfie, Racer, and Dylan were very interested in pulling off into the snowy field beside the path so they could sniff around. Their packmates were happy to join them, and everyone would then spend a lot of time sniffing and marking the area. Alfie and Arlo kept kicking up snow and dirt after doing their thing. Carl grumbled and woofed at a couple other dogs we passed on our walk, while the rest of the pack was relaxed and didn't pay them much attention. Griff and Dylan each started limping and holding up their front right paws around the same time, early on in the walk. They both returned to walking normally after having their pads brushed off with a finger, so I'm guessing they had stepped on some sidewalk salt that irritated them, though I didn't actually see it on them. Dylan enjoyed rolling in the snow when we stopped for pack photos. Lumi lay down in the snow a little later on when the mood struck him, but he didn't go for a full roll. Lou walked with Jen but kept trying to get closer to me and my crew; whether it was rushing ahead to catch up to us, or stopping in place to wait for us to catch up to them, she was intent on keeping the group together as much as possible.
