Adventure Pack

The pack headed to Enchanted Mesa via the Chautauqua today. The Mesa Trail was pretty quiet, and that mood permeated the pack as well. The dogs were all mellow, and even Rey and Bear were more interested in exploring than in playing today. Ruffers and Dylan likewise did a lot of sniffing. When the off-leash pair found a spot they were particularly interested in, I brought the on-leash pair over to check it out with them; whichever pairing it was, they were always happy to be able to check out their packmates' finds.

Variety Pack

Alfie, Carl and Buddy were all very interested in one prairie dog who chirped at us from a den that was especially close to the path at Goose Creek Greenway this afternoon. Alfie made a hop in the prairie dog's direction; Carl and Buddy seemed like they would have been tempted to follow it down into the burrow if they hadn't been on leash. Dylan and Lou weren't interested in the commentary of the rodents we passed. Unlike the Adventure Pack today, the dogs kept a steady pace and barely ever wanted to stop and sniff, so we covered a pretty good distance.
