Adventure Pack
The rain was coming down hard when we first arrived at Chautauqua. We waited a bit in the packmobile for it to lighten up, then hit the empty trail. Bear and Rey ran around together as we made our way up the mountain. Ruffers was good to go until she decided about halfway up that she was done going up the mountain in the rain. Tozai frolicked in the field as we made our way back down and then headed off through the meadow. Rey joined Tozai for some chasing and wrestling. We finished up with a stroll through the mowed park, then everyone got towel-dried in the packmobile.
Variety Pack
Carl, Alfie, and Lou waited out a heavier downpour at Bear Creek Greenway before striking out under clearer skies, just as the Adventure Pack did earlier. It was only lightly drizzling as we made our route with all the usual stops. The path was sparsely traveled but not as empty as the trails were. Even though the rain was light, we still took shelter from the sprinkles under the canopy of a tree when it was time for the pack photo.
