Adventure Pack

Bear lay down in the shade of a tree in the Chautauqua Park on our way to the trails. Ruffers, Rey, and Arlo all decided that lounging in the shade was a good idea, so we hung out for a few minutes while Bear rolled around and the others just took it easy. Rey and Arlo then borke out into some leaping and dodging around. Bear joined in before I got everybody to settle back down so we could get to the trail for some hiking. Arlo stubbornly stopped in place several times on the trail - much the way he did when there was thunder last week - but the clouds weren't particularly stormy and I didn't hear anything. He and Bear both enjoyed dipping in the stream at the base of Saddle Rock Trail. Bear did a quick dip, while Arlo would have lain in the water for as long as I let him.

Variety Pack

Alfie, Lou, Carl, Arlo, and Racer walked Bear Creek Greenway this afternoon. The skies were thicker than earlier in the day, which made for pleasant walking conditions even though shade along the route is sometimes sparse. Everybody kept on the move together in pretty orderly fashion. We passed by a cat on a leash in Martin Park, at the end of our walk, but the dogs didn't seem to take notice of the feline company some 30 yards away.
