Adventure Pack
Carl stayed dry while Bear, Tozai, and Rey started off the pack walk with a dip in Boulder Creek. Bear was especially happy about being in the water, as he kept laying down and then getting up and looking back at me with a big grin. Later on, everybody got into the creek to cool off. We came by a few adult geese by the Kids' Fishing Pond. None of the geese hissed at us even though all the dogs were staring at them intently.
Variety Pack
Gidget was excited to greet a packmate who is her size, when I showed up with Scarlet. Blu was also very excited, and Scarlet was a bit overwhelmed by their attention at first. Scarlet eventually relaxed more and sniffed around a bit instead of just being glued to my side. We struck out along Bear Creek Greenway for the afternoon. Blu kept pulling over to the strip of grass beside the path, just to sniff around. Sometimes Lou joined him; sometimes Gidget joined him. Scarlet stuck to the path until we got to the trail marker boulder, where the littles sniffed around while Lou immediately lay down. We had pretty good cloud cover for most of our walk, but it was still pretty hot, so the tongues were out in full force.
