Adventure Pack

Despite temperatures pushing 100 degrees Fahrenheit today, Kona had no interest in getting into Boulder Creek with her packmates Rey, Bear, and Carl. Bear kept swooshing and tossing his head around playfully in the water on our first stop. On the second stop, Rey found a good pocket of deep water to swim in. Carl got his paws wet as he took a drink from the stone steps on the first stop and stayed on the bank with Kona on the second stop. I poured some ice water from the CamelBak onto Kona and splashed it onto her belly to keep her cool since she didn't want to take a dip.

Variety Pack

The parking at the parks on the west end of Boulder Creek Path was all full, and cloud cover had moved in, so the pack headed to Bear Creek Greenway for their afternoon stroll. Teo, Lou, and Alfie poked across Martin Park at a snail's pace, with Lou stopping to lie down every 20 feet or so. Once we made it across the park, we got moving more steadily. There were occasional bicyclists who rode by, and Teo's reactions ranged from whining, barking, and chewing on his leash, to just watching them go by with an alert look. Lou and Alfie were happy to get some treats along with Teo when he stayed calm.
