Adventure Pack

Racer initiated countless stops on our way up Bluebell Road today. The snow, by its yellow coloring, provided a good visual indicator as to what drew her attention - a detail for which I usually have to use my imagination in order to fill in the blank. Rey led the way up the trail, with Griff often splitting the difference between her and the rest of the pack. Arlo and Rey were both very excited to see our OSMP volunteer friend Reid, who noted that he had to go scold some youths who were sledding down a prohibited slope that is rockier and therefore less safe than the approved slope at Chautauqua. After hearing this, Griff turned to watch the sledders in the distance with a low grumble, then started barking at them, causing us to wonder exactly how much of the conversation he had understood.

Variety Pack

Tozai had plenty of friendly, energetic dogs to run with at Valmont Dog Park today. Dylan was also a social butterfly, but without the running. The first dog Tozai had befriended later came over to Dylan and woofed a bit while making dodgy moves to try to entice him, but Dylan just stood in place and gently wagged his tail at the attention he was getting. Dylan's preferred form of recreation was wiggling in the snow, which he did a few different times. Tozai was chasing or being chased by other dogs all the while. There was one who kept bowing in front of him, and Tozai always responded by lying down with a poised posture, ready to pounce when his playmate made the next move.
