Adventure Pack

Rey and Griff scouted ahead with calm and alert demeanors as we trekked Kohler Mesa today. They came back readily when I called them, and everyone waited patiently as I doled out treats. Everyone was being so good as some other on-leash dogs passed by on the trail, so they all got another round of treats. Racer and Arlo paused at the stream to take a drink on the way back down from the mesa. Rey and Griff weren't as thirsty.

Variety Pack

Our entrance to the Valmont Dog Park was a little calmer today; the dogs trotted in instead of running full speed. Alfie spent most of the time sniffing around the park and marking places. He greeted some dogs here and there, and did some playful running and bounding around as the end of our visit approached. Tozai found a playmate who kept trying to mount him. Tozai did a good job turning and shuffling him off, and didn't let the intrusions derail him from all the running and wrestling he had to do. Carl was a little less focused on fetch today. He still spent most of his time on it, but he also spent some time just greeting other dogs or lying around. Dylan followed me as I moved around the park to keep tabs on Tozai and Alfie, who were totally in their own worlds. He got plenty of love from the humans he went up to, and also sniffed hello with lots of other dogs.
