Adventure Pack
Everyone took a quick drink from the stream on our way up Mesa Trail today. We encountered several friendly dogs. Griff and Rey mingled with them, and Rey unsuccessfully tried to goad them into chasing her. Racer and Arlo also got to sniff hello, and then Arlo started barking when he saw that Rey was trying to stir up play. Arlo stopped to lie in the stream when we crossed it on the way back down. Everybody munched on some grass near the end of the hike, after going without up until then.
Variety Pack
Ruffers, Carl, Dylan, and Tozai strolled around Wonderland Lake this afternoon. Carl and Tozai were eager to take some water from the CamelBak. Ruffers wasn't interested at all. Despite his heavy panting, Dylan only reluctantly took a few laps when I tucked the spout under his lip. I squirted a bit over his head and neck to help him keep cool, as well. Ruffers was the chief sniffer of the group, with Carl quick to follow up. I think everyone managed to dodge Tozai's stream whenever he lifted his leg to mark a point of interest. He seems to be growing slightly more aware of his surroundings when doing so, and/or his packmates are learning to avoid the splash zone.
