Bonus Pack

Lucy, Blu, Gidget, and Nelly strolled to Wonderland Lake this morning. Blu was going after the foliage with ravenous intent, making Nelly seem like an amateur when it comes to the drive to munch on greenery. In fact, Nelly wasn't really interested in the grass at all today. She and Gidget just trotted along beside each other very nicely. Whereas Blu was obsessed with the flora, Lucy's attention was on the fauna. The family of geese was swimming by at the same spot as yesterday, and Lucy was again transfixed. She was also on the lookout for bunnies and squirrels.

Adventure Pack

I thought I was walking a pack of dogs at Chautauqua today, but it turns out they were a herd of cows. The dew-laden, tall grass was too tempting for any of them to pass up, and they all insisted on stopping to graze for a minute on our way to Woods Quarry. Arlo kept stopping in place and refusing to go forward, so I wonder whether he had an upset stomach. Griff, Rey, and Racer didn't seem off at all; they were just curious about the salad buffet.

Variety Pack

Tozai proudly presented his new, oversized stuffed lambchop that he got for his first birthday, when I picked him up for the afternoon pack outing. Milo, Lou, Carl, Lumi, and Dylan joined for the walk along Bear Creek Greenway. Carl and Tozai were the only ones who marked the mile-marker boulders when the pack stopped to sniff there. Lumi was quick to stretch out in the grass when we paused in the shade, and then the rest of the pack gathered around to lounge for a minute. The walk was calm and quiet, with everybody keeping in a nice formation and in pace with each other.
