Adventure Pack

Griff, Arlo, Rey, and Racer had to wait to get into the creek today, because our usual watering hole at Eben G. Fine Park was occupied. Arlo stopped in place and gave me a pleading look as we were walking past it but decided to trust me and relent in his protest. A little further down the way, everybody got right into the water. Arlo did his usual bows and also pawed around at the submerged boulders and branches in a manner that was a lot like how Racer does the same thing. Racer, on the other hand, did not engage in that particular pastime today. She just dipped her snout in the water as she waded about. Rey wanted to pull out to deeper water but was hampered by the leash that I was holding. I scrambled out over some rocks so she could reach a bit further, but I think she would have gone all the way out to the middle of the creek for a swim if she could have. Griff was happy to just stand in the water.

Variety Pack

Carl, Tozai, Lou, and Teo walked Goose Creek Greenway this afternoon with intermittent cloud cover. Teo was a little less reactive to bicyclists, but still made quick, darting, chompy moves a couple of the times they went by. He and Tozai were both pretty interested in the rabbits that sprinted across the path and through the fields; however, nobody paid attention to the chirping prairie dogs - not even Teo - no matter how close they waited for us to get before they scurried down into their dens. Lou was feeling the heat and lay down when we came to the shade of a tree halfway through our walk. Despite that, Carl and Tozai were the only ones who accepted water from the CamelBak.
