Adventure Pack

Rey and Arlo started off the hike by getting lots of love from a friendly hiker who asked to say hello. Griff and Racer stood by while their gregarious counterparts wiggled and leaned into the pets they were getting. The ditches at The Peoples' Crossing are dry but still it was cool and cloudy enough today for the pack to venture up the mountain trails. Racer and Arlo both turned to head down to Silver Lake Ditch when we crossed the small footbridge on our way up but were disappointed to see it empty. Rey and Griff went down and sniffed the dry ditch, then wandered across the mountainside as the rest of us trekked ahead. Rey then raced to catch up to us, while Griff eventually caught up by shortcutting a switchback.

Variety Pack

Alfie was extremely worked up about the prairie dogs he saw from the packmobile at Goose Creek Greenway when we first parked. He usually doesn't get wo excited about them, so maybe he caught sight of some rabbits that I missed. When we unloaded, Sanni and Kona were reflecting Alfie's energy and were ready to chase after the prairie dogs. Alfie calmed almost immediately. Sanni settled after walking a hundred yards or so. Kona kept watching the prairie dogs and pulling towards them for most of the walk. Carl didn't get involved in any of that and just trotted along in place.
