Adventure Pack

Racer, Griff, Rey, and Arlo walked Boulder Creek Path starting at Eben G. Fine Park today, since the parking lot at The Peoples' Crossing was closed due to a fire that had broken out. An evacuation warning for the fire was "All Clear" before we headed that way, but the area was still blocked off to traffic when we arrived. Surprisingly, the parking above Eben G. Fine Park was wide open. The pack made their usual pit stop at the stone steps on our way out of the park, and Arlo predictably lay down and resisted moving on even after soaking for several minutes. The walk that followed was pleasantly uneventful as we strolled the creek path. At one point, Griff insisted on veering off across a stretch of grass as he followed his nose to the place he needed to mark, and Arlo followed up behind him. Racer and Rey were more interested in sniffing along the opposite edge of the path.

Variety Pack

Nelly and Buddy hung out together on the big boulder by the stone steps while Tozai and Lumi got into the water at the start of our walk; Carl and Lucy waited on the steps. Lumi got up from soaking in the creek a little more readily than Arlo did earlier today. Carl and Buddy swapped places back and forth as we walked, while the rest of the pack stayed in steady formation. Nelly and Lumi were the ones picking most of the pack's sniff spots along the way. There weren't any notable critters for Lucy to get too excited about, so she just trotted along at my side. Tozai brought up the rear today.
