Adventure Pack
Arlo, Griff, Racer, and Rey didn't make so many stops in the meadow today, but they still took their time moseying at an unhurried pace. We dodged some bear scat along Gregory Canyon Trail. Arlo really wanted to go to the stream on Saddle Rock Trail, but I avoided it since it is low, stagnant, and muddy now. Everybody took water from the CamelBak in turns, and everybody wanted seconds. Arlo, Racer, and Rey took thirds.
Variety Pack
Nelly, Lucy, Tozai, Dylan, Carl, and Lumi walked along Boulder Creek this afternoon, keeping mostly to the well-shaded, dirt footpath rather than the paved multi-use path. Carl, Lumi, and Dylan insisted on making various stops and venturing into the brush to find just the right spots that needed to be peed on. Nelly snagged some grass as stealthily as she could. Lucy and Tozai were notably good walkers today, especially considering they were the youngest of the group; they kept on pace and in formation without any pulling to speak of.
