Tuesday Pack Activities (10/29/2024)
Adventure Pack
It was almost chilly out as the pack hit the mountain trails this morning. The Chautauqua wasn't very busy. Imogene raced up ahead while Griff split the distance between her and the rest of the pack. At one point, Imogene returned with a stick that she enjoyed chewing up for a minute. There was very light hailfall as we made our way back down the mountain - only about the size of coarse salt crystals.
Variety Pack
Even though some prairie dogs were out chirping at us as we walked Goose Creek Greenway, Alfie didn't make any moves toward them. He stayed at my side nicely along with his packmates Dylan and Carl. Aside from the squeaking of prairie dogs, it was a quiet walk. Carl was the lead sniffer, as he often is. His packmates were both happy to follow up on all of his investigations. At the end of the walk, Dylan tried to leap back into the packmobile behind Alfie and Carl before I had gotten into position to assist him. He missed his rear footing and slipped back down onto his butt, and then I helped hoist him in. Some of his packmates - Lou and Buddy in particular - always wait for an assist despite being young and able-bodied, but Dylan is ambitious and often likes to do what he can himself.
