Adventure Pack

Imogene, Lumi, Griff, and Arlo hiked across the mountain at Chautauqua on another cool day. The trails were more traveled than yesterday, but still pretty quiet. We met a sweet, friendly, black Irish Setter pup on our way down the mountain, who gently wiggled and wagged while sniffing hello with the whole pack. Imogene and Arlo got playful on the last stretch of the hike, hopping around and throwing paws at each other.

Variety Pack

Tozai immediately started making friends at Valmont Dog Park this afternoon. Meanwhile, Lumi wandered off to sniff. Dylan and Carl followed me. Dylan took his time to sniff along the way, and Carl barked at me a couple times in the hopes that the demand would magically produce a tennis ball out of thin air. We eventually found a ball for Carl to fetch, and Tozai left off with chasing other dogs in order to join Carl in some fetching. Lumi eventually made his way over to where the rest of his packmates and I were, and then he had a sudden burst of energy and sprinted around on his own for a minute. A short while later, Lumi and Tozai started chasing each other around. Dylan found a Husky friend who followed him around for a bit. Carl kept fetching all the while. Dylan actually ran a short distance to catch up with me at one point. There was a squirrel in one of the small trees at the center of the park, and Lumi made several unsuccessful attempts to scale the trunk to get to it. Tozai ended the park visit with a wrestling session with a Doberman named Atlas, while Carl fetched a few more balls and Dylan and Lumi got some pets from humans.
