Adventure Pack
Arlo hopped into the packmobile with such excited energy that he drew a grumble from Griff, who has a penchant for bossing around wild puppies. Usually, Griff accepts Arlo's sniffs and face licks without complaint, but I guess it was just a little too much today. When we hit the trail, Racer set a stop-and-go pace as she wanted to investigate many scents along the way. The pack didn't notice a herd of deer up the mountain that was traveling the same game trail that Nelly and Yoshi were curious about last Friday. We ended the hike with a walk around the grassy park. Arlo found a stick and started flaunting it in front of Imogene, who bounced all around him trying to snatch it away. Arlo managed to keep her at bay, and eventually Imogene grabbed an acorn as a consolation; it didn't occupy her for long, and then she was back to jumping around Arlo. By that point, Arlo had dropped the stick and just leapt about playfully with Imogene.
Variety Pack
Carl, Tozai, and Dylan headed to Valmont Dog Park this afternoon. Tozai burst in and headed off to the nearest dogs to make new friends. Carl and Dylan trailed behind him to the first group of dogs to greet, then they started following me around. It took a little while to find a tennis ball for Carl to fetch. There were several times when I threw the ball for Carl and he didn't realize where it went. He would just stare at me and sniff around nearby until I walked all the way over to the ball and pointed it out to him. Dylan always followed me on the journey. Tozai found a variety of energetic, rowdy dogs to play with throughout our visit. There was a very talkative old dog to whom Dylan gravitated.
