Tuesday Pack Activities (11/26/2024)
Adventure Pack
Imogene put smiles on the faces of many hikers today, as she sprinted up and down the trail with giddy, infectious enthusiasm. Meanwhile, Griff kept his usual post a short lead ahead of me, Racer and Arlo. Racer, Arlo and Imogene were all thirsty, and happily drank from the CamelBak. Racer and Arlo both headed into the brush now and then, to spend some time sniffing around and eventually take care of business. One hiker commented on Griff's aged face, and I thought to myself that people have been making comments like that about him since he was a youngster because he just has a certain, distinguished look to him.
Variety Pack
Tozai, Carl, Dylan, Sanni and Rey walked Bear Creek Greenway from Martin Park this afternoon. Sanni was cavalier about pulling off the side of the path at first, but was less so once Rey shifted into the outer flank beside her. The boys settled into a formation at my other side, with Dylan on the far end, Carl in the middle, and Tozai at my side. The pack wasn't particularly interested in sniffing around today, so our stops were few and short. Sanni, Rey and Tozai were all very interested in a Border Collie playing fetch in a big field beside the path. Carl and Dylan remained focused on the path ahead. A light sprinkle of rain began just as we returned to the packmobile.
