Bonus Pack

Teo and Lou strolled to Wonderland Lake together this morning. Teo was doing a pretty good job of keeping control of himself, while Lou was chill as usual. We pulled over to the side of the path to give plenty of space whenever another dog went by, and that helped with keeping Teo from getting too worked up.

Adventure Pack

Storm clouds gathered as Griff, Arlo, Racer, and Imogene hit the Chautauqua trails today. We poked our way across the meadow, with everybody pulling over frequently to sniff around. Each time I thought we were ready to start moving, someone would find a new scent of interest, and then everyone would gather around to check it out. Eventually, some distant thunder rolled in, which made Arlo very anxious. Before long, he refused to go any further out. We wandered back through the meadow and around the adjacent neighborhood before returning to the packmobile.

Variety Pack

Dylan made a b-line to the creek when we pulled off the trail for a mid-walk break. Rey, Alfie, and Carl all got in as well, while Ruffers stuck to the bank. While Dylan and Carl remained in the water for a while, Ruffers, Rey, and Alfie spent a while sniffing at a nearby tuft of tall grass. We took the bridge across the Kids' Fishing Pond, where there were no geese to be seen; however, there was a mallard hanging out in the creek nearby. We mostly kept up a slow and steady pace. Alfie always seems to want to off-road and stomp through the tall grass for a part of each walk, even when he's not looking for a place to potty or following a scent. On the other side, Ruffers and Carl pulled over to the edge of the path to sniff and mark spots there. Dylan and Rey were less motivated to explore, but joined their packmates sometimes.
