Adventure Pack
Griff, Arlo, Racer, and Imogene enjoyed their hike through Chautauqua Meadow and Gregory Canyon. While Racer has typically been the member of the group to drive most of their scent investigations, Griff was the one leading the parade today. He kept veering off into the field to explore, and the rest of the pack followed suit. Once they got going, they all wanted to sniff for a while each time, so we made slow progress through the meadow at first. When we started up Gregory Canyon we continued to move along slowly; but it was due to the dogs being tuckered out on the uphill climb rather than stopping to sniff along the way. Imogene and Racer got some pets from a friendly person at the trail head when the dogs were getting a drink at the end of the hike. Arlo and Griff were too busy slaking their thirsts to say hello. Sorry I forgot to snap a photo of them today!
Variety Pack
Carl and Tozai had fun at Valmont Dog Park this afternoon. Carl made friends with another little, white dog who followed him around a bit while he fetched his tennis ball. Tozai greeted a bunch of dogs, doing his best to entice them into play. He was being a bit too pushy for one dog but then found a pair of dogs who were game to play chase. Tozai played rabbit as the Basset Hound and the Lab mix tried to catch him. While I walked around the park, I kept looking back almost expecting to see our packmate Dylan following behind me like he used to. I'm sure he would have greeted all the dogs and people there while his packmates played.
