Adventure Pack
With cool air and a cloudy sky, Bear's more playful side came out today. He took the bait when Tozai danced around in front of him, and the two of them chased and rough-housed as we hiked up Ski Jump Trail and across Bluebell-Baird. Meanwhile, Ruffers and Nelly kept me company on leash as they trotted along at my sides. Nelly wasn't going for any grass today - the dried-out stuff must not be as appealing. Ruffers kept up her pace without lagging behind much this time. There was a squirrel munching on the remains of a Halloween pumpkin on Bear's front porch when he returned home, who boldly stood his ground until we were on the step only about four feet away, but Bear made no move to chase it.
Variety Pack
Griff, Carl, Lumi, and Alfie didn't meet a tree trunk they didn't like today. The four of them stopped to investigate and mark too many to count as we strolled Boulder Creek Path. Carl left his mark more than once on most of the trees. Lumi had enough in the tank that he unloaded what seemed like a full bladder on three separate occasions. Alfie made sure to kick up some dirt after leaving his marks. When dropping the dogs off after the pack outing, a bunny in Griff's yard waited until Griff was directly beside it before it bolted, almost as if it was deliberately trying to goad Griff into a chase, but Griff just trotted by as if he didn't even notice it.
